How to do the Dame Hombro challenge

Play "Dame Hombro" by Bulin 47 and Kevin Wai, film yourself vertical from the waist up, and let your shoulders lead: bounce on the beat with your fists at your chest, pop one shoulder then the other, throw your arms wide at the camera and finish with a laugh. There is no fixed choreography, so energy beats precision. "Dame hombro" means "give me shoulder". Post it with the song as the sound and the hashtag #damehombrochallenge.

The moves most entries share

We watched the entries below frame by frame. Nobody does the exact same routine, but these four moves come up again and again. Mix them in any order and repeat.

  1. 1

The bounce: knees soft, fists at chest height, small bounce on every beat.

  2. 2

The shoulder pop: lift and drop one shoulder, then the other, in time with the chorus. This is the "hombro".

  3. 3

The open arms: lean toward the camera and spread your arms wide, palms forward, like you are calling someone in.

  4. 4

The rap hands: hands roll in front of your chest as if you are freestyling, then laugh or point at the camera to finish.

Real entries to copy from

Groups do it in sync, people do it on the street, teams do it at work. The more people, the funnier it gets.

Film it in five steps

  1. 1

Open TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts and pick "Dame Hombro" from the sound library before you record, so the music lines up.

  2. 2

Prop the phone at chest height, vertical, about two metres away. Your shoulders and hands must stay in frame.

  3. 3

Face the light: daylight in front of you, never a window behind you.

  4. 4

Do a dry run of the bounce for one chorus, then record two or three takes and keep the loosest one.

  5. 5

Post with #damehombro and #damehombrochallenge, the tags the entries above use.

Was there a prize?

Bulin 47 announced a #DameHombroChallenge contest on Instagram, with a reported prize of 2,000 euros for the best entry (report of 12 October 2026). Rules and deadlines are on his own account; we have no part in it and cannot confirm the details.

Rather not dance? Two AI options

The Dame Hombro dance template in CapCut puts your face into the dancers of the music video; tutorials like the one below walk through it. It is a different video from the street freestyle.

If you want the original doorway freestyle with you in Bulin 47's spot instead, that is what our booth makes from one photo. See Dame Hombro AI for how the song and the freestyle connect.

FAQ

Asked and answered

What does "dame hombro" mean?

Literally "give me shoulder": a call to move your shoulders to the beat.

Do I have to use the official sound?

Use it from the app’s library. It keeps your video linked to the trend and avoids muted uploads.

Is the dance the same as the viral freestyle?

No. The freestyle is Bulin 47 rapping outside a restaurant in Madrid; the challenge is dancing to the studio song that came after.

Can kids join in?

Dancing, sure. Our AI booth is for adults only, and nobody should upload a child’s photo to an AI video tool.
